WHAT'S NEW: CB2

Now is the time, where stores are advertising their new items for Fall.  While some items are not in stores quite yet, I've been teased with emails and catalogs.  Reality sets in that Summer is almost over.  But, I'll admit to some excitement about anything new; especially when those items grab my attention.

Take CB2; a great store to find items here and there.  There's a location near my job that is convenient for me to pop in from time to time.  I was disappointed when I received word their parent company, Crate and Barrel on Madison Avenue is closing (NYC rent is too high).

Take a peek at just some of the new items:

Canopy beds have been around for years.  I can remember as a child, I had a pretty white canopy bed.  This black and gold number is pretty sophisticated, wouldn't you say?

This carat table lamp is a beautiful one; especially in person (currently on display at the store).

Cowhide rugs are all the rave right now.  I like this all natural look.

How adorable is this fluffy, sheepskin stool.  The rose gold legs give it that ultra glam look.  I think I also like it because it reminds me of my fluffy, white dog, Monty (lol).

Anything marble gets my attention and these accent tables are so amazingly gorgeous.  I would love to see this displayed in someone's home.  I don't have enough rooms to decorate (lol).

Sleek and contemporary tampered, floor candle holders add interest next to a fireplace or dining room area.  I've seen these in person and they are pretty cool.

The marble addiction continues.  Perfect for a dresser, dressing table, vanity or bathroom.

DECORATING WITH WALLPAPER

Hi everyone.  Hope you had a nice weekend.  The weather has been hot and expected to last through the week.  While enjoying the warm weather, I needed to make a stop indoors, to source out some wallpaper design options for my friends, who are renovating their limestone home.  Which, by the way, I can't wait to help decorate.

I decided to head to my local Benjamin Moore dealership, who carries a large selection of wallpaper books from different design companies.   Some favorites I found were from such designers as Kenneth James, Seabrook and Carl Robinson.

Specifically, I was jaw dropping the #12 Art book by Carl Robinson.  The name says it all - truly works of art in wallpaper design.

While sourcing for my friends, I couldn't help but dream about adding some wallpaper to our bedroom (an accent wall).

Take a look at some the wallpaper designs by Carl Robinson.

This design makes an impact, even with its soft color palette.

Love this design!

This wallpaper has a beautiful metallic shine

This pattern grabbed my attention.  You have to see the detail in person.
Below is a detailed shot I captured with my phone.  Truly stunning!

Textures and prints pair nicely in this space, with the large damask wallpaper and the giraffe fabric on the chaise.  Adding a pop of color, like the teal blue accent pillow and pottery blend nicely.

Such a peaceful and quiet sitting area.  Love it!

This design pattern is a wow factor in the foyer.  Adding to that, the amazing architectural molding.

Framing wallpaper is such a great idea!

Talk about making a statement!  I love how they incorporated the wallpaper above the fireplace, displaying such, like a piece of artwork.  Such inspiring pictures - my creative juices are flowing. . .
