FRIDAY'S FLORAL DESIGNS: Bloom by Anuschka

Happy Friday everyone!  I can't get over how quickly the weeks are flying by.  I'm definitely looking forward to warmer days ahead.  Just have to get through the next couple of months of cold temps and snow days.

On today's post, I'm sharing my love for floral arrangements.  Flowers are one thing that put me in a cheery mood.  I enjoy making flower arrangements and display them around our home.  It just adds that extra layer of oomph to your home decor.

Today, I'm sharing some lovely floral arrangements by former Ford Model, Anuschka Pashel of Bloom, in Denver, Colorado.  Bloom is currently a lifestyle boutique but started with flowers.  Now, Bloom caters to home decor, jewelry, gifts and, of course, flowers. Take a look at these lovely arrangements:

I gravitate towards a look like this . . . shorter cut blooms and lots of them, bunched together.
Those tulips have the most amazing design and color.

A modern floral arrangement.

This arrangement is so lovely.  Would go perfect in our home (lol).

I absolutely love the textures of this all natural floral arrangement

Simplistic and beautiful

Pretty pinks and purples.

This arrangement is so fierce; with rich, deep colors in a beautiful vase.
The black backdrop is the perfect staging for this arrangement.

 GORG!!

NEW ITEMS FROM WEST ELM: My Favorites

Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.  Woke up Saturday morning with a winter wonderland outside. And, more on the way.  We are preparing for a blizzard starting this afternoon through the evening with two feet of snow! For those on the eastcoast, be careful and safe journey getting home.

Switching things up on this Monday to share with you some of my favorite new items from West Elm.  Even though I dislike the winter season, this time of year is my favorite to see stores advertise their new inventory of Spring items.

I love the Spring season with the crisp smell in the air, the greenery making its appearance and bringing new life to the outside.  It's the best time and it certainly puts me in a better mood.  It's a chance to lighten and brighten your decor on the inside.

Take a look at some of my favorites:

Terrace Tower

Brass is making a strong comeback and what's nicer than Terrace Tower; finished in antique brass with glass tiered shelf.  In would make such a nice addition to my any space.  Room makeover anyone?

Amy Merrick Vases

Loving the shapes and colors of the these vases by florist designer and stylist, Amy Merrick.

Faceted Glass Vases

The jeweled tones of these Faceted glass vases are so pretty and vibrant.  Like pieces of jewels for your flower bud arrangements.  These would look so pretty by your bedside table, on your makeup table or office table.

Belgain Linen Duvet Cover and Shams

Linen is the perfect fabric for warmer days.  This Belgian linen duvet cover and shams is the perfect shade of pink (described as pink champagne) that even the male in your life would appreciate; especially those that can pull of wearing a pink shirt or tie.

Decorated Hobstar Glassware

These antique inspired Hobstar Glassware come in a several soft colors (only smoke black and clear available at this time).  I purchased similar ones from Crate and Barrel last year in a pink shade.  I like the softer shades in this line.

Kisanii Pillow Cover - Black/Natural

This Kisanii pillow is truly a piece of art, but displayed on your sofa, chair or bed.

Alphabet Pillow Covers

Monogram is popular and has been a classic staple for many years.  For a younger, more modern look, use your initials from these Alphabet pillow covers.

Mistari Pillow Cover - Black/Natural

How about pairing it with this classic Mistari stripe pillow cover?

ROOMS THAT INSPIRE: HSH Interiors

On today's Rooms that Inspire, I'm introducing you to HSH Interiors.  This design firm was first established in 2002.  Behind the HSH Interiors is founder and Principle Designer, Holly Hollenbeck.  Along with Holly is Associate Designer, Lauren McCoy and Junior Designer, Dani Burka.

This trio creates some pretty amazing rooms.  Take a look:

Orinda Portfolio - This monochromatic color palette is right up my alley.
It seems so peaceful.

These women really have it spot on with their bathroom designs.  I LOVE them all!
They are so unique and tastefully done.  I wish I get the balls to do something fun like this.

This house, a converted church sets the mood for what's inside.

From exposed beams, giving you that rustic feel, to the brass hardware and industrial lighting . . .

Pretty green/gray cabinetry.  Looks so well with brass.

Mill Valley II - This kitchen! With that tile! And those cabinets and hardware!!

Love the color of these cabinets.

That tub is sick!

I want!  I love the cross-like pattern of the tile floor.  Playing homage to the former church

See!  Didn't I tell you all the bathrooms were amazing!

FRIDAY'S FLORAL DESIGNS

Happy Friday!  I haven't posted a Friday post in a while and hope to change that.  To be honest, by the time Friday rolls around, I'm pooped!

Today's post is all about floral designs.  If you follow me on Instagram, you see me weekly flower arrangements I create, for around our home.  I love flowers and would love to learn more about different flowers and creating better arrangements.

Today, I want to share some beautiful - and I mean BEAUTIFUL floral arrangements from Tulipina.  I follow Kiana Underwood on Instgram (how I found her).  She has a floral design studio in the San Francisco area.

Her unique style has been featured on many popular sites such as Coco + Kelley, 100 Layer Cake, Green Wedding shoes and design magazines.  Kiana has a signature look to her design; the way it cascades to one side (or both) and the prettiest floral arrangements and colors choices.  Her work is truly inspiring.

Take a look at some of her work:

Beautiful color variations

Love the pop of purple with the lime green and pale pink flowers (think they are dahlias)

This is so pretty for a Thanksgiving table.
I'm inspired by the colors and would definitely create a tables cape around this flower arrangement.

I purchased anenomes last weekend and those purple spikey looking flowers
(need a lesson 101 on flower names).  This flower arrangement is so soft, modern and feminine.

I wouldn't mind getting an arrangement like this for Valentines Day.

This screams Spring!  And, I'm screaming, yes hurry Springtime weather!

One of my favorite arrangements.  Breathtaking!

Here's a look of my flower arrangements for this week:

Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend.  We're getting hit with snow tomorrow (boo-hoo).

MASCULINE HOME OFFICE DESIGNS

We are switching things up a bit at home: moving the guest room, currently downstairs, to an empty bedroom upstairs.  In its place, will be my husband's new home office.  While trying to come up with some design ideas, it's always helpful to look for inspiration online.   The way I envision the space is dark colored walls, cognac or whiskey leather seating, animal hide rug, metal baskets and men inspired accessories.  Of course, my husband has a big say in the design but I'm just throwing my ideas out there!

Here are some great looking home office designs, full of masculinity and class.

The navy walls set the theme for this masculine space.
Love the mix of metal finishes and lighted colored wood of the desk.

This space is bad ass!

How cool is this space?

Nice contemporary design.  Loving the cognac colored leather chairs

Here's a look I pulled together of items that caught my eye.  I'm sure this will be the first of many ideas.

2// Nook Tower (West Elm)
3// Prism Pendants (West Elm)
4// Exotic Burl wood boxes (Williams Sonoma Home)
5//  Hair on hide rug, brindle beige (Williams Sonoma Home)
6//  Tom Dixon The Mathematical Tool (ABC Carpet and Home)
