WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: My Look from Tory Burch

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I'm officially on holiday vacation (yay!).  And, to start off this vacation, we are getting hit with snow!  Ugh; mother nature picked the worst time to do it.  I wanted to run out and get some errands done.  Now, with the crappy weather, I have to be careful on the roads and worry about family members trying to drive through the storm.

I'm signing off for the rest of the week.  So, I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  I have a lot to be thankful for and look forward to spending quality time with my loved ones.  Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and am so excited to see my family.

My extended holiday vacation is a much needed one.  Wish I could say I'll be relaxing but I have so much going on:  baking pies, traveling to see family members, entertaining guests, a hair appointment, a wedding, my brother and dad's birthday and a special gift coming my way.

Before closing down my computer for the rest of the week, I want to share with you today's look from Tory Burch.

Tory has a classic and unique style.  When it comes to apparel, you can go wrong with black and white.  I love the patterned, ruffle blouse, paired with a leather and knit, pencil skirt and some sexy, tall boots.

Veta top (on sale)
Madison skirt
Jessica clutch
Mari boot
Black Patent Izzie watch

Happy shopping.  Hope you score some deals for Black Friday.

ROOMS THAT INSPIRE

Hi all!  Hope you had a nice weekend.  I had a busy weekend, running errands, hanging out with friends and getting my chores done.  And, with a short work week, it will be crunch time at work and at home.  Looking forward to spending time with family this Thanksgiving.

On today's Rooms that Inspire, I'm sharing one of my favorite Canadian, award-winning designers, Sarah Richardson.  She recently launched her latest book, Sarah Style.  While I added this to my Christmas wish list, I couldn't wait and purchased it myself!

In the book, Sarah has some of her amazing and lavishly illustrated designs.  I love it because I can stare at every little detail and can refer to it again and again.  Now, I don't have to fill my dvr with Sarah's episodes (lol).

Sarah always comes up with innovative and creative ideas.  Her love for antique shopping and creating unique looks is something I always admire.  She inspires me to appreciate vintage items and see the beauty and life it once brought to another home.

In the book, Sarah takes you, room by room looks and step-by-step.  She has great tips and ideas we can use to incorporate in our home.

Here are some of my favorites:

I love the way Sarah incorporates tile in the foyer of homes.  Whether a small or large foyer, she makes is a point to define the entrance space to the rest of the home.

I love the piping details on this chair.

This is such a pretty and sophisticated space.

Sarah is a genius when it comes to picking out and designing the layout for tiles.

This book would make a great gift for someone who has a love for design, loves Sarah Richardson or just enjoys looking at pretty homes.

THANKSGIVING INSPIRATION TABLESCAPES

This year, I won't be hosting Thanksgiving at home.  Our plans are to go to spend Thanksgiving at my Titi Margie's home.  While there is a small sense of relief; not having to plan, prep and cook, I'm a little sad I won't be decorating our table. But I do welcome the much needed break and get to admire some fabulous and creative tabletop designs.  I found some inspiration pics and sharing same with you.  Let's take a look:

Love this nature inspired look (with touches of gold) from fellow blogger, Griffanie.  It reminds me of a similar look I created last year; seen here.  And, let's not forget about the gorgeous herringbone table!

You have to see the woodsy/rustic holiday tablescape created this year from Griffanie.  I am loving the marbled runner created!!

Apartment 34's Thanksgiving tabletop is more casual but not boring in the least!  The rich, deep colors displayed in this design are so beautiful. Lately I've been inspired by rich, deep colors and thinking of added same to my own creative looks.  This is one look to add to my idea folder.

Waiting on Martha created a Thanksgiving table for Ballard Designs . . . you go girl!  It is stunning.  I love the outside setting and the floral designs.  It's so festive for Thanksgiving. I only wish we had the luxury of eating outside for the holidays (lol).

What are some of your favorite looks?

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: Holiday Look from Revolve Clothing

Happy Wednesday!  Today's fashion apparel looks are from Revolve Clothing.  With the upcoming holidays, I thought I would put together some beautiful lace dresses.  With all the holiday occasions, (i.e., office parties, weddings, dinners, etc.), finding what to wear is a daunting task (at least for me).

Lace dresses are always in fashion.  They are sexy, flatter almost any figure and are classic.

Take a look at some of my favorites from Revolve Clothing:

Zarita Scoop Dress - Diane von Furstenberg
Vita Dress - LA Made
Lolo Lace Dress - For Love and Lemons

DOING IT UP: WALLPAPER ON THE CEILING

Ever since I had my home office wallpapered, I've been dreaming of other rooms to have wallpapered.  Since it can be costly, committing to the right design is key.  If you're not ready to commit doing the whole room or an accent wall, how about wallpaper for your ceiling?  It seems like the ceilings get overlooked and just painted white.  But, wouldn't it be fab to create a look you can really look up to?

Here are some inspirational photos for different rooms in the home:

ROOMS THAT INSPIRE

Another Monday upon us.   And, I am totally bummed the weekend is gone.  It flew!  Is it just me, but it feels like these months are going by so quickly.  I can't believe the holidays are around the corner.

There's so much I try to accomplish during the weekend but it's never enough time.  And, now that the days are shorter, I feel cheated.  I did manage to get myself out to the stores to find a chair for my office.  And, I found one!  Still playing around with fabric options and colors but I'm happy to scratch another item off by "to do" list.  Don't expect any progress pics on the home office any time soon.  The chair will take 3-4 months!  Crazy, I know.  Let's see if the months will fly by, now that I'm waiting for something (lol).

Let's start this Monday off right with my favorite post, Rooms that Inspire.  I could spent hours on the web looking at gorgeous room designs; discovering interior designers and dreaming of hitting the lotto so I can redo our house (ha)!

Meet Kelly Deck of Kelly Deck Design.  This interior design firm is located in Vancouver, Canada.  The looks they create seem effortless, beautiful and inviting.  Kelly Deck can be seen on HGTV series, "Take it Outside".  I haven't seen it but should make it a point to check it out.

Let's take a look at some of my favorite designs!

This foyer is so welcoming and stunning with the crystal tiered chandelier, all white walls, crown mouldings, trim, area rug and console table.

This room!  A peek of the dining room's wallpaper and black curtains, carry into the stylish living room.  The fabric and color on those accent chairs are a thing of beauty.

Talk about a great gathering place for your guests.  This kitchen takes center stage; especially with the massive gold hood vent and that backsplash!

Beautiful wall tiles.

How crazy cool is this powder room!

Interesting mosaic tile detail in this shower.  It looks like a set of doors.

I love the dark wood.

Such a lovely sitting area.

Digging the lofting vibe in this bedroom.  It's a bit on the touch of masculine but I wouldn't mind sleeping in a room like this.

A simple yet impactful design.  This room feels dramatic and important.
